But, we wisely decided to put water pressure on the toilet before we re-installed it.
And sure enough, it had a bad leak - probably had water left over that had frozen over the years. It was a better deal to buy a new toilet than to buy the repair parts.
And here it is!

Great work on this project. It's helped me make the decision to not gut mine and to just address issues as they present themselves. Summer is starting and we want to use it so ours will be a work in progress. Looking forward to following the completion.
